Drainage project
Drainage project in Inverloch

Customer called saying back yard isn't draining and look terrible.
We came up with a drawing and plan and got to work.

After we marked out its time to start digging the drains in. We like to use drainage matting to stop dirt and rocks ending up in the scoria and drains blocking them up.

After all drains installed we like to do a rough clean and level to make it easier for the next stages. Once all the ground has settled, we spray the yard with glyphosate to kill off any grass or weed wanting to grow back.

After a few applications of pesticide and glyphosate we can now start to do the first stage of getting the perfect lawn. After laying down 100mm of clean topsoil we can now compact the topsoil with a roller and start getting the final level and height we are after.

After spreading and levelling the topsoil we used a drop spreader to seed the lawn evenly. once the seed was spread we lightly top dressed and roller the soil until firm.

Due to funds being a tight, we had to dig in the irrigation at a later stage of the renovation but isn't going to cause any damage or harm. as you can see the rye grass is only 2 weeks old

The rye grass after 4 weeks of growing. During the four weeks we have over seeding and top dressed 1 last time to remove any high spots or low spots. We now need to wait for a little bit more growth then we can give it a professional mow. Will keep you posted

Irrigation done and working amazing.

Nice stripe after a mow and the bare spots are filling in nicely
Everything looking amazing even for the off season grass
